Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Situational Awareness in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to riders, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, surrounding perimeters, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate services, locations, or resources.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued license to work in a security-related role is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
