Q201585: CAD Estimator

This role involves working closely with clients, project managers, and internal teams to understand project requirements, assess materials and labour, and prepare competitive and accurate quotations. You will also assist with scaffolding layouts, elevations, and detailed drawings using CAD software.

Salary Range: 35,000 - 40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri | 6am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare quotations and designs for scaffolding projects.
• Review architectural, structural, and construction drawings to determine scaffolding requirements.
• Produce scaffolding designs, layouts, elevations, and detailed CAD drawings.
• Calculate required materials, quantities, labour, and project costs.
• Ensure designs and quotations comply with relevant Australian standards and project specifications.
• Liaise with clients and project teams to clarify scope, measurements, and technical requirements.
• Review and revise drawings based on project changes or client feedback.
• Maintain accurate project records, estimates, drawings, and quotation documentation.
• Assist with take-offs and material scheduling for scaffolding projects.
• Ensure quotations are prepared accurately and within required deadlines.

Requirements:

• Degree in Architecture, Drafting, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in scaffolding estimating, drafting, construction estimating, or a similar role.
• Strong experience using AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, material calculations, and preparing quotations.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, communication, and ability to work within deadlines.
