GROUP SPECIALIST: EMPLOYEE WELLBEING
6 Months Independent Contract
Johannesburg-Hybrid-3 days in the office
Are you an experienced Employee Wellbeing / Organisational Development professional passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences and building workplace wellbeing solutions? We are looking for a Group Specialist: Employee Wellbeing to provide specialist expertise, advisory services and innovative solutions that support employee wellbeing and align with broader people strategy and the evolving future of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist employee wellbeing consulting and advisory services across the organisation.
- Design, customise and implement enterprise-wide wellbeing solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Use wellbeing data, analytics, benchmarking and research to generate insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Lead wellbeing projects from scoping and solution design through to implementation and delivery.
- Design and support wellbeing events, solutions and digital platforms that improve employee access, adoption and experience.
- Develop and maintain wellbeing knowledge management, including guidelines, processes, system guides and supporting materials.
- Drive wellbeing awareness, change and capability-building initiatives through coaching, communication, training and information sharing.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence the embedding of wellbeing practices across the organisation.
- Monitor and report on the performance and impact of wellbeing initiatives across different workforce segments.
- Identify and mitigate wellbeing-related risks while ensuring alignment with governance, compliance, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Support business cases, solution specifications, governance submissions and budget planning.
- Participate in Agile delivery practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and manage a wellbeing community of practice to support collaboration, co-design and operationalisation.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree / Honours Degree in Human Sciences or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience providing a breadth of employee wellbeing and/or Organisational Development services or related components.
- Strong understanding of employee wellbeing practices, frameworks and solutions.
- Experience in stakeholder management, consulting and advisory services.
- Experience using data, analytics and research to generate practical business insights.
- Experience in project delivery, change initiatives and capability building.
- Ability to work collaboratively across HR, business and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to Agile ways of working would be advantageous.
