Heartline Staffing is recruiting an Epic Application Analyst specializing in clinical documentation for an opportunity supporting healthcare information systems in the Houston, Texas area. This position focuses on Epic application build, configuration, testing, optimization, implementation, and ongoing support while partnering closely with clinical and operational teams.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Epic Application Analyst supports and optimizes Epic applications to improve clinical workflows and operational efficiency. The analyst evaluates user needs, configures and maintains system functionality, manages support issues, participates in upgrades and implementations, and provides ongoing application support and problem resolution.
The position works closely with clinical and operational teams, including nursing, mother-baby, and rehabilitation, and requires the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment. Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is part of the role.
COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $95,000-$132,000
• No Signing Bonus
• Partial Relocation Package
EPIC APPLICATION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze User Needs And Translate Requests Into Epic Application Solutions
• Perform Epic Build, Configuration, Testing And Optimization
• Support Epic Implementations And System Upgrades
• Maintain And Optimize Assigned Epic Applications
• Manage Application Support Issues And Ticket Queues
• Troubleshoot Clinical Workflow And Documentation Issues
• Develop And Deploy Queries, Reports And Other Business Solutions In Epic And Related Systems
• Maintain Technical Knowledge Of Assigned Applications
• Help Users Optimize Their Use Of Epic Applications
• Provide Training, Support And Problem Resolution To Users
• Participate In Project Work And Application Implementations
• Develop Options And Recommendations When System Issues Are Identified
• Participate In After-Hours Application Support Through A Rotating On-Call Schedule
CLINICAL / OPERATIONAL PARTNERSHIP
• Partner With Clinical And Operational Teams
• Support Nursing, Mother-Baby And Rehabilitation Workflows
• Improve Clinical Documentation Processes
• Integrate Technology Into Effective Workflow And Process Design

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2 Years Of Work Experience With Epic Build REQUIRED
• Current Epic Certification REQUIRED
• Experience Working With Epic ClinDoc REQUIRED
• Experience With Project Ownership Of Epic Applications Work REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 Years Of Equivalent Experience In Related Areas Such As Healthcare, Education Or Technology REQUIRED
• Ability To Participate In Rotating 24/7 On-Call Coverage REQUIRED
PREFERRED
• Epic Clinical Documentation Certification
• Rehab Certification
• Stork Certification
• 3 Years Of Increasingly Responsible Experience In Large Corporate Systems Development And Implementation Activities In Healthcare MIS Or Similar System Analysis, Design, Building, Testing And Implementation
• Experience In A Large Healthcare Organization
• Associate's Degree
