As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.86 / Hour

  • As part of our hiring process, we would like to remind you that an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position. Verification of this clearance will be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening process.  If you do not have an active clearance, we encourage you to explore opportunities that may align with your qualifications and experience.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges.

  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Experience with alarm panel systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations and protocols.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Proficiency in using computers or tablets is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable navigating software applications and performing tasks on digital devices.

  • CPR Certification (B205)Candidates must hold a current CPR certification. This certification is vital for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and clients.

  • Customer Service Experience (B219)Previous experience in customer service is required. Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
    • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
    • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
    • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
    • Complete accurate daily activity reports and promptly communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
    • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
    • Hold CPR certification, preferred.
    • Have customer service experience, preferred.
    • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
