Technical Sales Engineer – Semiconductor

Location: Bay Area, CA or Portland/Tualatin, OR
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary+ significant variable incentive + car allowance
Travel: Approximately 50%

We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join an established, growing manufacturer serving the semiconductor industry. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a large, existing strategic customer relationship while identifying and developing significant new business opportunities across the account.

The position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical aptitude with the communication, curiosity and commercial mindset to work directly with engineering, R&D and procurement teams.

What You'll Do

• Own and grow a major strategic semiconductor customer relationship
• Build relationships across engineering, R&D, procurement and other technical groups
• Identify new projects and engineered-to-order application opportunities
• Serve as a consultative technical resource to customers
• Coordinate with internal engineering, manufacturing and account support teams
• Manage opportunities from initial discovery through technical solution and commercial close
• Develop a deep understanding of the customer's organization, needs and future opportunities
• Travel between customer locations in California and Oregon as needed

What We're Looking For

• Strong engineering or technical foundation; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background preferred
• Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, field applications, account engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role
• Semiconductor industry experience is highly valued but not required for the right technical background
• Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings and engineered solutions
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Consultative communication style with the ability to work effectively with engineers and other technical stakeholders
• Self-directed, curious and comfortable taking ownership of a significant customer relationship
• Interest in continually learning new technologies and applications
