Job Description Summary 

 

Demonstrate excellent leadership skills to employees within the department by providing a resource for questions, concerns, and comments 

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

·       Recap any updates with Supervisor following team huddle

·       Know and understand each role within the department

·       Get outside department contacts involved when necessary

·       Point of contact in department when Supervisor is unavailable

·       Report any findings, issues, observations to the Supervisor

·       Support system for employees  

·       Delegate where employees should be working throughout the shift

·       Attend Team Leader Training and train new employees  

·       Engineering point of contact for questions and/or trials

·       Conduct walk-throughs with candidates when supervisor is unavailable

·       Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines

·       Maintain 5s standards        

 

Required Qualifications 

·       Hold current certification(s) specific to department   

·       Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs

·       Ability to push/pull heavy objects

·       Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors

·       Ability to work with hands for an extended period

·       Knowledge of the department area

·       Ability to communicate, empathize, resolve conflict, patience, and tolerance 

·       Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools and heavy machinery 

·       Ability to work individually and as part of a team 

 

Desired Characteristics 

·       High School Diploma, GED, or related work experience

·       Previous manufacturing and leadership experience preferred

Previous fiberglass experience helpful

Position Shift: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm
