Summary:

 

 

In this role, you will provide custom analytics and insights to Vizient clients using Vizient data, with an emphasis on hospital operations data and the Operational Database (ODB). You will conduct analyses to identify actionable opportunities for hospitals across department operations, labor, expenses, supplies, skill mix, utilization, capacity, and throughput. You will develop reports, identify performance variation relative to benchmarks, explore integrations with other Vizient data, and translate findings into insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. You will present findings to clients and organizational leaders, guide analytical approaches, and contribute to team development by sharing best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Deliver customized analyses using the Operational Database (ODB) and other internal and external data sources, including operational, quality outcomes, procedural, and utilization data.
• Leverage Vizient data tools and conduct comparative analyses to evaluate variation in operational performance, costs, productivity, utilization, outcomes, supply use, and facility performance.
• Analyze healthcare operations data and translate findings into actionable insights that support strategic, operational, and executive decision-making.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare operations and finance, Vizient differentiators, industry practices, and relevant data sources to strengthen analyses and insights.
• Collaborate with hospital finance and operations teams to report on and evaluate operational performance against peer benchmarks.
• Plan and facilitate client meetings to gather requirements, understand business processes, communicate findings, and manage expectations.
• Ensure data reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with analytical requirements and client needs.
• Contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and the development of team best practices.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Healthcare financial, hospital operations, supply chain, or procedural analytics experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, data management, and problem-solving skills required.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
• Strong SQL proficiency preferred.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence solutions preferred.
• Experience with the Clinical Database (CDB) or Operational Database (ODB) preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
