Cash Application Specialist - India AR Delivery Hub

Position Summary: Performs standardized cash application processing within the India AR Delivery Hub, including daily cash posting, remittance matching, unapplied cash research, and first-pass exception identification for supported regions. Reports to the India AR Delivery Hub Manager or designated Cash Application Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash posting and remittance matching for assigned regional portfolios.
• Research and clear unapplied cash, unidentified receipts, and payment exceptions within defined SLAs.
• Identify short-pays, deductions, missing remittance, and customer payment discrepancies for handoff to collections or AR Resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of cash application activity, research notes, and exception status in approved systems and trackers.
• Follow standardized SOPs and paths for unresolved items, posting corrections, or customer account issues involving blocking issues.

AI & Automation Responsibilities

• Use approved automation tools to support remittance matching, queue prioritization, duplicate identification, unapplied cash research, and reporting.
• Flag recurring exceptions or automation gaps to the Global Cash Application Lead and India Hub Manager for process improvement.

Qualifications / Experience

• Experience in accounts receivable cash application, payment posting, remittance processing, or shared-services finance operations.
• Strong attention to detail, reconciliation mindset, and ability to work within daily deadlines and SLA targets.
• Comfort using ERP, banking, lockbox, customer remittance, workflow, reporting, or automation-enabled tools.
