Description

Important Notes

This position is based on-site in Mexico City, CDMX (remote work is not available).

Submitted resumes must be in English to be considered.

About Us
Since 2019, Landing has redefined apartment renting with the industry's first flexible living model. Our membership program provides consumers access to a network of apartments in 60+ top markets with no deposits, hassles, or stress.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to join Landing's Legal team. This role sits within the Legal department and reports directly to the General Counsel, a member of Landing's executive team. You will support the day-to-day legal operations of a fast-growing, multi-jurisdiction rental platform — drafting and responding to legal correspondence, advising internal teams on compliance, reviewing and routing contracts for execution, and coordinating with outside counsel, insurance brokers, and government offices on active matters.

Successful candidates bring strong legal judgment, clear and precise writing, and the ability to translate legal risk into practical guidance for Sales, Operations, and Finance teams. They are comfortable moving quickly across multiple active matters, know when to resolve something independently and when to escalate.

What You'll Do

  • Legal Correspondence & Member Matters

Draft and respond to formal correspondence with regulators, opposing counsel, and members/residents, including notices to vacate, lease disputes, and account access requests.
Work alongside the legal team to advise the Operations and Field teams on applicable law compliance before enforcement actions are taken.

  • Contracts & Deal Support

Review, negotiate, and route vendor, member, and partner agreements for accuracy and policy compliance.
Support the Sales and Deal Desk teams on contract structure, pricing compliance, and approval escalations as needed.

  • Cross-Functional & Regulatory Support

Coordinate with outside counsel, insurance brokers, and government agencies on active legal and regulatory matters.
Monitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions that may affect company operations.
Assist in maintaining and updating internal legal documentation, templates, and process guidelines.
Other tasks as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Requirement to work in-office (Torre Esmeralda 3, Mexico City).
  • Education: Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho, J.D., or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a legal counsel, paralegal, compliance, or legal operations role.
  • Advanced English and Spanish: High-level verbal and written fluency in both languages is essential.
  • Clear Communication: Able to translate legal risk into plain, actionable guidance for non-legal teams without over-explaining.
  • Extreme Organization: Manages multiple active matters, deadlines, and stakeholders without dropping the ball.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets/Drive; comfortable with Slack and DocuSign.
  • Self-motivated, collegial, and effective working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive Salary
  • Grocery vouchers: $1,500 MXN per month
  • Vacation: 12 days per year (available after 90 days of employment)
  • Paid time off (PTO): 40 hours per year (available after 30 days of employment)
  • Health insurance: Major medical (MetLife), minor medical (AXA Keralty), dental, and vision coverage
  • Parking: On-site parking for bikes, motorcycles, and cars
  • Travel benefit: $750 USD annually in Landing Stays
