The Senior Associate Brand Manager is accountable for the in-year delivery of business objectives for Kimberly-Clark Family Care Bath Brands (Cottonelle® Dry Bath, Cottonelle® Flushable Wipes and Scott® Dry Bath). They support the execution of marketing-mix (strategy, product, packaging, promotion, advertising, research) to ensure that Kimberly-Clark's brands optimally meet identified consumer needs and financial objectives that will drive future growth. The Senior Associate Brand Manager proposes, develops, and implements Marketing plans, including product promotion, and commercial programs to drive brand awareness, product demand and generate market and channel traffic.
In this role, you will:
- Drives delivery of brand business objectives including net sales, operating profit, gross margin & market share
- Supports development and execution of 3-year brand operating plan, commercial programs, and annual plan delivery
- Collaborates with sales strategy, customer teams and field representatives to develop and execute shopper marketing plans
- Leads consumer promotions + digital, social and search ecosystem through development and execution of annual plans
- Supports advertising post-program analysis to adjust investment strategies and optimize return on investment on dollars spent as necessary to ensure business objectives are delivered + identify areas for continuous improvement
- Serves as one of the key contacts for all internal and external (advertising agency + vendor) relationships
- Effectively manages advertising & consumer promotions, shopper marketing and trade budgets
- Supports appropriate market analysis/research to understand customer needs and trends in the market
- Analyzes and creates reports ongoing to understand competitive landscape, segment potential, profitability + drivers to track progress against business objectives and drive necessary actions to deliver on targets
- Project lead for sku portfolio management, packaging, brand idea and other projects where U.S./Canada collaboration is required
- Leads monthly business reviews for assigned brands; leveraging sales data to identify areas opportunity to drive growth plans
- Other duties as assigned
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related field
- 5+ years of prior Marketing or relevant experience, ideally in CPG
- Entrepreneurial, can-do attitude to find ways to break down growth barriers
- Demonstrated positive energy to effectively represent Brand internally & externally
- Motivated by challenges and possessing a robust sense of curiosity
- Passionate about driving Brand growth by better meeting consumer needs
- Ability to work independently and complete projects within required timeframes
- Strong analytical acumen with strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of advanced PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate/Graduate Degree in Marketing or MBA
- Able to work in a matrix organization driving collaboration across functions, geographies & businesses
- Project leadership (medium to large-scale projects)
- Strong Digital, Social or eCommerce Marketing Execution Experience
- Leading/developing self and coaching other employees
- Demonstrated ability to drive insights and action from data analysis
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of data access tools (Nielsen Market track)
- Supporting complex business negotiations
