As Culinary Services Supervisor, you'll oversee daily dining operations and team performance while ensuring residents receive exceptional service and meals that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
A Typical Day:
- Supervise daily culinary and dining operations in Healthcare and Memory Care
- Lead, coach, and develop dining services team members
- Create and manage staff schedules
- Ensure excellent resident dining experiences during every meal service
- Oversee meal delivery accuracy in dining rooms and resident rooms
- Train employees on service standards, procedures, and safety protocols
- Maintain compliance with DHEC, Medicare, and facility regulations
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments
- Assist with departmental budgeting and operational planning
- Communicate effectively with department leadership and staff
- Support departmental events, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
A Top Candidate Will Have:
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Healthcare or retirement community experience preferred
- Medicare or healthcare dining experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced service environment
- Commitment to customer service and resident satisfaction
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work actively alongside team members during meal service
- Ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and visitors
