Management Level:
M2This role is pivotal in our operations, responsible for assisting in controlling expenses, ensuring compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements, and interpreting and enforcing company policies. You will assist in manpower planning, maintain accurate records, and solve problems effectively. Work with department heads to meet production and quality goals while maintaining labor standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Expense Control: Assist in managing expenses.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce company policies.
- Manpower Planning: Assist in planning and recommending manpower needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Problem Solving: Address and follow up on issues effectively.
- Collaboration: Work with department heads to meet production and quality goals.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Maintain high standards in housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety.
- Management: Manage and train production supervisors.
- Shift Operations: Oversee shift operations and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in the food manufacturing industry.
- 5+ years supervisory experience in a meat/poultry processing facility
- Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HAACP regulations.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Special Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage and train team members, handle complaints, and resolve problems.
- Travel: 0-20%
