Heartline Staffing is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 26-week correctional healthcare assignment in Somerset, Pennsylvania.

Travel Pay Package

• $1,700 gross weekly
• $15.00/hour taxable rate
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Overtime available

Assignment Details

• 26-week contract
• Correctional healthcare setting
• Evening shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• 5x8 schedule
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

What You Will Do

• Provide direct nursing care within the LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and permitted within scope
• Monitor patient health and report changes in condition
• Perform nursing assessments appropriate to the LPN role
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Follow established clinical, security and facility protocols
• Provide professional patient care within a secure correctional environment

Correctional healthcare requires nurses who can remain professional, adaptable and focused while providing appropriate care within a secure environment. Candidates must be prepared to follow both healthcare and facility security procedures throughout the assignment.

Requirements

• Current, active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Ability to provide nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment
• Strong nursing assessment and communication skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a challenging environment
• Must be able to work the 2:00 PM–10:30 PM evening shift
• Must meet applicable Commonwealth and correctional facility requirements prior to placement

Preferred: Previous correctional, psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience and current BLS/CPR certification.
