Job Description Summary

‎ 

We are seeking a compassionate Certified/Registered Medical Assistant III to join our Venice, Florida team! The Medical Assistant III (CMA/RMA) provides advanced medical assistant support for clinical care delivery, patient flow, documentation quality, and care team coordination in an ambulatory care setting. Handles more complex clinic workflows, supports visit preparation and follow-up, resolves routine operational barriers, and contributes to quality improvement activities. Performs assigned work within scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed provider.

The Medical Assistant III (CMA/RMA), works independently on more complex assignments with limited supervision. Decisions impact patient flow, care team coordination, and recurring clinic deliverables within established protocols. Applies advanced working knowledge of medical assisting, clinical workflows, patient care support, and documentation practices to solve practical problems, guide peers, and support consistent care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient rooming, intake, visit preparation, and clinical documentation workflows for routine and non-routine patient visits.
• Support complex clinic flow by anticipating provider needs, coordinating procedure preparation, and resolving workflow barriers within established protocols.
• Perform and document point-of-care testing, specimen handling, medication support, and clinical support tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Review patient charts, care gaps, standing orders, and visit readiness information to support efficient provider encounters and timely follow-up.
• Support special projects, quality gap closure activities, care gap outreach, workflow pilots, and documentation improvement efforts within established clinical protocols.
• Provide subject-matter guidance to newer staff on clinical support procedures, electronic health record workflows, safety practices, and site standards.
• Investigate and resolve non-routine clinical support issues, including documentation discrepancies, supply or equipment issues, and patient flow delays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 4-6 years of medical assistant, clinical support, or ambulatory care experience.
• CMA, RMA, or equivalent Medical Assistant certification or registration required.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred
• Specialized knowledge of ambulatory clinical support workflows, patient intake, point-of-care testing, medication support, infection prevention, care gap support, and documentation standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, clinical messaging, documentation workflows, and care team coordination tools.
• Strong problem-solving, peer guidance, patient communication, and workflow coordination skills.

Compensation Range:

$20.90

to

$31.35

 

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
