We are hiring a Director, International Tax Planning, to join our experienced team located at our headquarters in Santa Clara, California. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced tax professional to lead planning for NVIDIA’s supply chain and global operations infrastructure. You will serve as a key leader within our tax organization and a trusted advisor and strategist for a critical part of the business. What you'll be doing:

• Lead NVIDIA's international tax strategy for global supply chain and infrastructure, continually refining it as the business, laws and regulations change.
• Serve as one of NVIDIA's tax experts, providing strategic advice and partnering with Finance, Trade, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure compliance.
• Provide strategic tax advice to senior Finance and business leaders to guide and support their decision-making.
• Strategize and develop solutions for large, complex projects and systems changes, determining tax treatment based on deep technical expertise and business judgment.
• Build positive relationships with business collaborators across NVIDIA, both in the US and internationally, ensuring Tax is engaged and represented for important business decisions.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial and intercompany agreements covering supply, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing services, and infrastructure arrangements.
• Manage external counsel and advisors, engaging them on technical issues while coordinating scope and budget.

What we need to see:

• CPA or Juris Doctor (JD) degree and LL.M. in Taxation from an accredited US law school.
• 15+ overall years at a major law firm, Big 4 accounting firm, or an in-house tax department of a multinational corporation.
• 4+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of US and international tax rules, including R&D and investment credits, expense and capitalization rules, permanent establishment, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and FTC utilization.
• Proven track record providing operational leadership and strategic tax guidance for a complex, cross-border business area.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the capability to influence senior tax and non-tax collaborators across functions, regions, and time zones.
• Solid understanding of the interaction between direct tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and customs.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional workstreams to completion and deliver results.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience, with an understanding of accounting for taxes under US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with customs-privileged regimes such as IMMEX/maquiladora, free trade zones, or bonded warehouses.
• Experience presenting to senior executive or board-level audiences on tax matters.
• Familiarity with SAP, particularly intercompany and inventory flows, and experience supporting an ERP transformation.
• Proficiency with AI tools and automation as part of your everyday work.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 240,000 USD - 379,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
