SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, Operations for Brooklyn Sport & Entertainment, oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all BKSE properties, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with all DOB regulations. This role supports building maintenance, scheduling, staffing, collaborative environment with internal stake holders, and vendor coordination.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinate and schedule preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fire/life-safety systems, building envelope, and site grounds.
- Assign, supervise and support maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and outside contractors; track work orders and verify quality/completion.
- Manage the facility work-order system: create, prioritize, update, and close work orders; maintain asset and inventory records.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and document deficiencies; recommend repairs, replacements, and lifecycle planning.
- Coordinate vendor selection, obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance and compliance with service-level agreements.
- Maintain spare parts, tools, and supplies inventory; order materials and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA, fire codes, ADA, environmental and company policies; coordinate required inspections and permits.
- Respond to and coordinate resolution of maintenance emergencies (power outages, HVAC failures, water leaks, safety hazards) including after-hours on-call duties as required.
- Assist with capital projects, Office moves, and facility improvement initiatives; act as liaison with key internal stake holders.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and report on key performance indicators such as response times, uptime, and maintenance costs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, service records, and safety logs; develop and update preventative maintenance schedule.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 1-2 years in facility or event management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical knowledge: practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building controls, and fire/life-safety systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized project management skills.
- Good customer service skills and sound judgment.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification in Facility Management (CFM) or similar credential.
- Experience in management and logistics.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- 25% travel required, primarily within Brooklyn and the New York City area.
SALARY RANGE
$66,500 - $68,500 base salary

The incumbent will be based in an office environment but may travel to different BKSE properties as needed.
