Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Management in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at an automotive location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing site access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional customer service. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor or vendor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and report access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, business areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
