Job summary:

Acrisure is seeking an experienced Transportation Adjuster - Property Damage to handle property damage and liability claims involving commercial auto, trucking, and transportation exposures. This role is responsible for investigating and evaluating claims, assessing coverage and liability, determining damages, establishing reserves, negotiating settlements, and supporting timely and appropriate claim resolution.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a TPA environment and bring significant commercial transportation claims experience, including strong knowledge of automobile physical damage (APD) and property damage claims. Experience handling cargo claims is beneficial.

Success in this role requires strong technical claims knowledge, exceptional organization, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively manage claim activity while building productive relationships with clients, insureds, claimants, vendors, and other business partners.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and manage automobile physical damage (APD), property damage, and related liability claims involving commercial transportation exposures
• Evaluate coverage, liability, damages, reserves, negotiation strategy, and settlement opportunities
• Handle physical damage and property damage claims involving specialized motor coach and trucking programs
• Review complex or escalated claim matters and develop appropriate and timely resolution strategies
• Maintain accurate claim diaries, documentation, reserves, and file activity throughout the life of each claim
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Partner with internal teams, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve complex or escalated claim matters
• Communicate with clients, insureds, claimants, vendors, and internal business partners to support successful claim outcomes
• Communicate effectively with attorneys and law firms regarding represented property damage claims
• Negotiate settlements and support efficient, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 7+ years of commercial auto, trucking, or transportation claims handling experience required
• Strong experience handling complex commercial transportation property damage and liability claims required
• Strong knowledge of automobile physical damage (APD) claims processes required
• Strong understanding of commercial auto and trucking insurance principles, including coverage, liability, damage evaluation, reserving, negotiations, and settlements
• Experience working in a third-party administrator (TPA) environment required
• Experience managing claim inventories while maintaining quality, productivity, and regulatory standards
• Experience working effectively in a virtual or remote environment
• Multi-jurisdictional commercial transportation claims experience highly beneficial
• Cargo claims experience beneficial
• Experience communicating with attorneys or law firms regarding represented property damage claims beneficial
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims, priorities, and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, insureds, claimants, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications

Education and licenses:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree or equivalent education and experience beneficial
• Active adjuster license required
• Multi-jurisdictional adjuster licensing beneficial
• Additional insurance education, professional designations, or claims-related certifications beneficial

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
