Description
The Clinical Lab Technician 1 will be in a regulated Clinical
Laboratory receiving, processing, and performing high throughput testing of samples using standard laboratory equipment and robotic liquid
handling systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform accessioning of samples including receipt, storage, aliquoting, and disposition
Perform the SomaScan assay using robotic liquid handling systems and other laboratory
equipment
Perform tasks per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work
Instructions (WI)
Ensure accurate and timely results
Maintain sample integrity and traceability throughout sample processing
Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Comply with laboratory safety policies and procedures
Comply with Quality Assurance and Regulatory requirements
Participate in the continuous improvement process such as providing feedback
Participate in internal meetings, seminars, and trainings
Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
Operate and perform quality control checks on general laboratory equipment
Maintain stocks of general laboratory supplies

Requirements:
Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in life science, chemical, physical, biological science, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is required.
Good attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and time management
Ability to work independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team
Experience using microliter single-channel and multi-channel pipettes
Experience performing data entry
Experience using laboratory equipment
Work is in a typical laboratory environment with Personal Protective Equipment
The work environment may include, but is not limited to, the following hazards: chemical, electronic, mechanical, biohazard waste, and infectious material.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and must be able to kneel, squat, and sit.
Performs hazardous waste duties in accordance with internal controlled documents, local, State and Federal regulations.
