Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations. 

This position requires office presence.

Shift schedule: 5x8 Day shift; Mon-Fri; 06:00-14:30 local time.

Shift assignments are part of the 24/7/365 coverage requirements.

 

AT&T is seeking a mid-level Data Center Specialist to support mission‑critical IT services for Intelligence Sector customers. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the data center, including monitoring system performance, capacity management, and ensuring uptime of critical infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance on servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Identify and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other teams to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of data center configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Update knowledge base articles and operational manuals as needed.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and generate reports on key metrics.
• Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing security measures to protect data center assets.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and IT support staff, to ensure seamless operations and project execution.
• Participate in data center projects, including hardware upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Provide technical expertise and support during project implementation.

Required Clearance:

TS/SCI with Poly (#tssci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

• Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts.
• Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Bachelor's (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Additional years of experience or higher education may be substituted for degree or experience requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certifications (Preferred): Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred); or must be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary computing environment (CE) certification

Our Data Center Specialist Mid's earn between $79,300 -$122,637. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
