Job Title: Nurse Manager – Operating Room / Surgical Services
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operating Room (OR) Nurse Manager to lead daily surgical services operations, staff management, and clinical workflows. In this leadership role, you will oversee surgical suite scheduling, guide nursing and technical staff, manage departmental budgets, and enforce rigorous healthcare compliance, infection control, and sterile processing standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes and operating room efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Leadership & Personnel Management: Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and supervise operating room nurses, surgical technologists, and support personnel.
- Surgical Operations & Scheduling: Coordinate daily surgical suite assignments, manage room turnover efficiency, and streamline perioperative patient workflows.
- Fiscal & Resource Management: Oversee departmental financial performance, manage supply purchasing and inventory, and optimize resource allocation.
- Compliance & Patient Safety: Ensure strict adherence to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, infection control protocols, and sterile processing guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 3+ years of progressive leadership experience as an Operating Room Nurse Manager or OR Clinical Manager [Required].
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required] (CNOR or Nurse Executive certification preferred).
- Core Competencies: Surgical suite operational management, perioperative supply chain oversight, staff development, financial management, and regulatory compliance expertise.
