  • Provide management direction for day-to-day priorities while building scalable structures that support long-term business growth.
  • Present supply chain performance, risks, recommendations, and decisions to Aftermarket leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Distribution Strategy, Warehousing and Transportation

  • Evaluate network redesign opportunities and develop recommendations for regional stocking, warehouse expansion, outsourcing, insourcing, and service coverage.

Inventory Management and Parts Availability

  • Own the inventory management framework for aftermarket parts, including segmentation, stocking policies, safety stocks, reorder parameters, lifecycle planning, obsolescence management, and working-capital optimization.
  • Balance parts availability and customer uptime requirements with inventory investment, storage capacity, and supply risk.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and countermeasures for backorders, past-due orders, supply constraints, and coach-down events caused by missing parts.

  • Develop sourcing and supplier strategies that improve cost, lead time, availability, quality, and supply-chain resilience.
  • Lead cross-functional supplier performance and risk reviews; initiate recovery plans, fallback strategies, and supplier-development actions where required.
  • Support commercial negotiations and long-term programs covering transportation, warehousing, sourcing, EDI infrastructure, allocations, quality campaigns, and major recovery efforts.

Process Excellence and Transformation

  • Elaborate, introduce, standardize, and continuously improve end-to-end processes across planning, procurement, inbound logistics, customs, warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution.
  • Develop process governance, roles and responsibilities, decision rights, escalation paths, work instructions, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Lead digitalization, systems, data-quality, EDI, and reporting initiatives with DCNA, DTNA, Daimler Buses Headquarters, and external partners.
  • Apply Lean principles and structured problem solving to eliminate waste, simplify workflows, and improve internal and external process efficiency.
  • Ensure effective change management, stakeholder communication, training, and sustained adoption of newly introduced processes.

Performance Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Define targets and manage KPI performance for overall service level, fill rate, coach-down events due to parts unavailability, backorders, customer lead time, inventory turns, inventory accuracy, supplier delivery, warehouse productivity, customs lead time, logistics cost, cost-to-serve, and process efficiency.
  • Establish recurring performance reviews and ensure deviations result in fact-based root-cause analysis, assigned countermeasures, defined due dates, and verified results.
  • Monitor sales and operations planning indicators and cost-to-serve data; coordinate cross-functional teams to improve the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
  • Build transparent management reporting and provide recommendations that support prioritization, investment decisions, and continuous improvement.

People Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop employees within the assigned area; set clear objectives, establish accountability, and promote cross-functional collaboration.
  • Make or contribute to staffing decisions, including selection, onboarding, training, recognition, performance development, and succession planning, in accordance with company policies.
