Description
Police Dog Trainer
We are seeking an experienced Police Dog Trainer to train, handle, and maintain working dogs for security, law enforcement, and operational duties. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in obedience training, detection work, patrol training, and canine behavior management.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Police Dog Trainer, K9 Handler, or similar role.
- Experience in training dogs for patrol, detection, tracking, and obedience.
- Strong knowledge of canine behavior, health, and welfare.
- Ability to assess and improve dog performance for operational tasks.
- Experience working with security, military, or law enforcement K9 units is preferred.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.
- Valid driving license is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Train and develop police/security dogs for operational duties.
- Conduct obedience, tracking, patrol, and detection training programs.
- Monitor dog health, behavior, and performance.
- Maintain training records and performance reports.
- Ensure proper care, handling, and welfare of all assigned dogs.
- Support operational deployments and field exercises when required.
