Do you enjoy watching over children while creating a safe and fun atmosphere? If so, please consider applying and joining the Tri-Community Family Branch YMCA's child watch team!


Under the supervision of the Director of Youth & Family Services, the Child Watch Associate ensures the safety of all children in their care. This is the perfect job for moms, bring your little one with you while your older children are at school. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise a group of children and program activities for children from 3 months old to 12 years old. 
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and standards as established by the law or the YMCA (e.g., safety or emergency procedures, behavior guidance strategies, child abuse prevention policies)
  • Speaks in a tactful and courteous manner to parents, YMCA members, and fellow staff. 
  • Projects a professional image, including neat appearance, positive manner and dependable attendance. 
  • Attends and participated in program activities and staff meetings. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required within 30 days of employment
  • Previous experience with diverse populations preferred


Schedule: Hours may vary depending on department's needs. Please let us know your availability!

Job Type: Part-Time (Non-Exempt)

Pay: $15.00/hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
