Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Float
PRN / Per Diem
SSM Health Rehabilitation Network
Tier I - $47/hour Tier II - $52/hour Weekend Shift Differentials Available
SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking PRN licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) to join our collaborative Regional Speech Department as a Float Speech-Language Pathologist.
This unique PRN position offers the opportunity to practice across multiple acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings throughout the greater St. Louis region while working alongside a highly skilled interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals
- SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Richmond Heights (St. Mary's)
- SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Bridgeton (DePaul)
- SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Lake Saint Louis (St. Joseph's West)
Acute Care Therapy Services
- SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – St. Louis
- SSM Health DePaul Hospital – Bridgeton
- SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton
- SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles

Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Assess and treat swallowing, communication, voice, and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
- Direct and supervise discipline-specific therapy services as appropriate.
- Design functional treatment programs to promote safe discharge and return to meaningful daily activities.
- Educate patients, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement, program development, and continued professional growth activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to travel between assigned locations within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.
Preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation.
- Independent experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS/MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
