The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment for guests by cleaning guest rooms and assigned areas in accordance with the standards of Flamingo Resort & Spa. This role ensures the highest level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction while supporting the overall operation of the housekeeping department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, dust furniture, vacuum floors, and sanitize surfaces.
- Replenish guest room supplies including toiletries, towels, and amenities.
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected according to established quality and productivity standards.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to the Housekeeping Manager or supervisor.
- Respond to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner.
- Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain carts and storage areas in an organized and clean condition.
- Support team members and assist in other housekeeping duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays based on business needs.
