SOC Analyst L1

Description

The SOC Analyst L1 is a very high-profile position with the primary responsibilities of providing security services to NetGain Technologies clients and internal resources.

The position requires the use of excellent coordination, attention to detail and communication skills.   The SOC Analyst L1 is responsible for:

• Firstline of defense for security-based tickets 
• Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests relate      to Security issues
• Develop and maintain security documentation,      procedures, and plans
• Investigate security questions, concerns, and issues
• Manage incident response and investigations on alerted      detections via SIEM solutions
• Install security measures and operate software to      protect systems and information infrastructure
• Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts on      gathering evidence for root cause analysis
• Stay current on IT security trends and news

This role reports directly to the L3 - SOC Manager, overall supervisor will be the Director of Security. 

Core Requirements:

• A Security+ Certification      or equivalent must be achieved within the first 6mos.
• No less than 1 year of      experience in IT Security related fields
• Experience in information      security or related field
• Experience with network      administration protocols preferred
• Experience with Microsoft cloud      and Microsoft’s windows threat protection landscape preferred

· Familiarity with security frameworks a plus
