Description
Position Name: PM Execution Lead
The PM Execution Lead will be responsible for leading and overseeing the execution of high-rise construction projects, including apartment buildings, hotels, and mixed-use developments. The role will ensure that construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with approved designs, project schedules, quality standards, and budgets.
The position requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and hands-on project execution experience, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects from execution through completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of high-rise construction projects from mobilization through completion, ensuring activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, methodologies, and project plans.
- Work closely with the Director- Project Management to translate project objectives and strategic directions into actionable execution plans, ensuring alignment across all project teams and construction activities.
- Develop and monitor detailed execution plans, construction sequences, milestones, and look-ahead schedules to ensure timely progress across all project fronts.
- Provide the Director with regular updates on project progress, key milestones, critical issues, risks, resource requirements, and areas requiring management intervention or decision-making.
- Provide strong direction to project and site teams, ensuring that construction activities are properly planned, coordinated, and executed on site.
- Monitor daily and weekly construction progress against approved schedules, identify delays and constraints, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Lead and coordinate Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. In addition Support the Director in establishing execution priorities, improving construction processes, resolving cross-functional issues, and ensuring that project teams remain aligned with overall business and project objectives.
- Oversee contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, approved methodologies, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Architecture, Structural, MEP, BIM, and other technical teams to resolve design-related issues and ensure timely availability of construction information.
- Ensure that construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, material standards, method statements, inspection and testing requirements, and applicable codes.
- Work closely with Commercial, Procurement, and Finance teams to monitor project costs, control variations, and ensure execution remains within the approved budget.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure the timely availability of critical materials, equipment, and resources required for uninterrupted construction.
- Identify project risks, execution constraints, and potential delays at an early stage and develop practical mitigation and contingency plans.
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
- Maintain effective coordination with consultants, contractors, authorities, suppliers, internal departments, and senior management to resolve project issues and maintain progress.
- Lead the resolution of complex construction, coordination, sequencing, and technical issues that may affect project timelines, quality, or cost.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to senior management regarding project progress, key milestones, delays, risks, resource requirements, commercial matters, and critical decisions.
- Ensure appropriate deployment of manpower, machinery, equipment, materials, and other resources in line with project requirements.
- Oversee the completion, testing, commissioning, snagging, and rectification activities to ensure the project is ready for handover.
- Lead the final project completion and handover process, ensuring all documentation, as-built drawings, testing records, warranties, and outstanding works are properly closed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, (PEC Registered is a must)
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in construction/project execution, preferably with major high-rise developments.
- Proven experience in delivering high-rise residential, hotel, and mixed-use projects.
- Strong understanding of structural, architectural, MEP, finishing, and facade-related construction activities.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, quality control, HSE, cost management, and project coordination.
