Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Buford, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, entry requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as required, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
- Control inbound and outbound traffic at gates and designated access areas, following established procedures for commercial vehicles, trailers, and deliveries.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public service agencies when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
