Network Engineer Global Network Services (m/f/d)

As a Global Network Engineer Global Network Services (m/f/d), you help shape and advance Fresenius’ global network landscape. You drive the development of innovative WAN solutions, support international business projects, and ensure stable, secure, and efficient network operations. In this highly visible role, you collaborate with global stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of our network services and infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and co-own global Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions and related network platforms with a focus on the Berlin environment
• Support, monitor, and manage external service providers to ensure high-quality network services
• Provide technical expertise and project support for global IT and business initiatives
• Consult stakeholders on network technologies and implement sustainable infrastructure solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier-3 network incidents across WAN, LAN, WiFi, and Network Security environments
• Execute operational processes and support activities across system operations, system support, and system development
• Analyze business and user requirements and translate them into reliable technical concepts and solutions
• Prepare cost estimates and technical assessments for infrastructure services and technology-related projects
• Identify, initiate, and drive continuous service and process improvements to enhance operational excellence
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and represent Global Network Services across cross-functional teams

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or comparable professional experience
• Early-career professional with experience in network engineering or administration
• or alternatively at least 7 years of relevant professional experience
• Proven experience operating and supporting network environments in multinational, multi-site organizations
• Hands-on knowledge of WAN, LAN, WiFi, and Network Security technologies across various network topologies
• Strong understanding of network troubleshooting methodologies and network management tools
• Solid technical expertise in enterprise networking and related infrastructure technologies
• Good understanding of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
• Experience creating and maintaining high-quality technical and user-oriented documentation
• Awareness of data protection, cybersecurity, and information security requirements
• Fluent English skills and good German language skills

Nice to Have

• Certifications in Cisco, Aruba, and/or Palo Alto technologies
• Experience working with global infrastructure projects and international teams
• Previous experience in service management and vendor coordination
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation when required
