Role purpose:
The Filtration Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales growth of the range of Magnetic Filtration products across all markets (excluding China and the Americas’) and will manage a diverse customer group, from end-users to distributors, representatives, key partners & OEMs. This will be across a wide industrial base including Automotive, Bearing, Precision Engineering & Steel Manufacturing, as well as a significant number of small engineering companies.

Dimensions:
- Reporting into the Sales Director
- 1 x direct report
- Responsible for achieving the Filtration Sales Budget, both in Revenue and Profitability
|
|
Key Accountabilities:
- Increase the sales volume and sales revenue of Filtration products with both existing and new prospective customers
- Develop and implement operational/strategic plans to ensure territory growth and profitability are achieved
- Work with and expand the current prospect database to generate effective leads & exceed sales targets
- Seek out and activate new distribution partners within each Territory to maximise sales potential
- Continually review distributor / dealer performance and ensure each territory achieves the required level of sales to support the overall sales budget; this should include the setting of distributor/dealer performance targets
- Oversee all major project opportunities and ensure supporting departments are aligned to deliver these projects
- Research and approach OEM opportunities relating to the industrial filtration range
- Provide pre-sales technical advice, assistance and product education as required
- Monitor, record, analyse and report on activity, trends, results and recommendations relating to sales activities
- Ensure forecasts and updates are fully detailed within the Intranet CRM database

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Ideally with an Engineering qualification, however, knowledge and experience is just as important
- In depth knowledge or experience within one or more of the following industry sectors is preferred: -
- Industrial fluid sales
- Machine tool ancillary sales i.e., filtration, tooling, work holding etc.
- OEM Equipment Sales
- Distributor / Reseller Sales
- Experience of managing a sales budget, KPIs and strategy planning
- Experience of selling to small, medium & large end users and / or Engineers in manufacturing / process
- Previous experience working within a similar role
- Good commercial / industrial knowledge
- Prospecting, closing and growing business accounts
- Ability to meet deadlines with efficient time and workload management skills
- Technically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Service driven with first class customer service skills
- Excellent communication (both written & verbal) / interpersonal skills to interact successfully at all levels
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent Computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office
- Self-confident with the ability to adjust to fast changing business conditions
- A good organiser with the ability to manage multiple demands whilst meeting deadlines
- Persuasive with good negotiating skills
- Result oriented / target driven with proven sales track record

Key Result Areas:
- Meet pre-determined sales performance targets and have the ability to analyse product group performance
- Achieve both Quarterly and YOY growth across all product groups within the Filtration range
- Ensure each export country is setup with distributor / dealer with sales expectations clearly communicated
- All distributors / dealers achieve the required level of sales to support the budget and ensure growth opportunities

Special Features:
- Valid Full UK Driving License
- Valid UK passport, or passport issued by a country which allows entry into the required countries for overseas visits
- Expectation to undertake regular international travel
- Expectation to working unsocial hours when travelling
- Expectation to spend periods of time away from home when travelling
