Join our Team and advance your career as an
FP&A Cost Performance Advisor
In this role You will:
Drives the cost planning, performance, and analysis of the refinery
Optimize and improve standard monthly cost MI to provide asset/function/team level insight of underlying performance and cost performance delivery risk/opportunity areas and monitor site interventions
Work with local Refining budget owners to embed common process models and promote adoption of tool set across the site
Financialize business inputs to finance processes and provide MI reporting
Focus on Refining cost analytics and submission of cost MI in required reporting tools
Conduct analytical deep dives on specific performance issues
Work with wider FP&A cost performance team to support the preparation of standard cost analysis
Proactively work with Refinery based team to provide analytics-led insights to Refinery budget holders to deliver business improvement and optimize and protect value, including identifying and implementing response options
Close support and assurance for Cash costs. Proactively identifies and addresses misclassified costs within the refinery
Ad-hoc support for multiple initiatives, including systems and process changes.
Support MI analysis and preparation of Solomon data and BIP reviews
What You need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or technical field
Relevant work experience in a large and multinational environment with partner relationships across multiple countries
Fluency in English
Flexibility to work in shifts (US support)
Relevant post degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, ideally in a downstream business
Demonstrated financial competence and basic refinery operations knowledge
Experience with major finance systems (i.e. SAP) and reporting/dashboard tools (i.e. PowerBI)
Strong excel skills and ability to manage large data sets
Curiosity to understand the ‘why’ as well as flexibility to respond in a dynamic environment
Ability to analyze data and interpret & communicate cost drivers/results to multiple levels of the organization
