Registered Behavior Technician

Holly Ridge Center, a non-profit neurodevelopment center in Bremerton, Washington, is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of Infant Toddler Program professionals, providing early support services to children from birth to age 3 and their families.

Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work under the ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide individualized, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for young autistic children and their families. RBTs work with the child and models for families ways to create engaging learning opportunities that build meaningful skills while respecting each child's communication style, sensory needs, interests, and autonomy. Services are provided primarily in children's homes and community settings through collaborative, compassionate, and play-based interactions. Additionally, services are provided using an interdisciplinary, family-centered, and culturally diverse approach.

ABA is the science of how people learn and behave. It helps us understand how children develop new skills and how supportive environments can encourage growth. At Holly Ridge Center, we use ABA strategies through play, meaningful connections, and everyday routines to support communication, social connection, play skills, and independence.

Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

• Understanding of child development, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and trauma-informed care
• Knowledge of Washington State Special Education and/or Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) regulations preferred
• Knowledge of Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) / Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) process preferred
• Interest in supporting autistic children through respectful, individualized care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn and apply feedback
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills
• Strong organization and time management
• Respect for diverse family values
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Effective computer skills, including familiarity working with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite programs, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word (or similar word processing program), Excel, Outlook 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom
• Ability to perform data entry, word processing, and work with spreadsheets
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check through the Washington State Department of Social & Health Services

Education, Training, and/or Work Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field preferred
• Complete RBT requirements through BACB and become CBT certified through the Washington State Department of Health
• Infant/toddler training and/or experience required
