Description
1) SUMMARY OF DUTIES
To provide professional care and speech therapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management as needed by the patients in KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital.
2) JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.
To provide assessment and diagnosis of speech, language, voice, fluency, communication disorders, swallowing disorders in children and adults.
To provide treatment and management of speech, language, voice, fluency, communication disorders, swallowing disorders in children and adults.
To provide relevant reports to consultants in-charge on progress of patients.
To ensure every patient treated is charged.
To attend training programs/courses and to keep professionally up-to-date with current research, trends and techniques.
To maintain all necessary statistics and records pertaining to the department and to report the same in a timely manner.
To ensure all equipment is safely and regularly maintained and calibrate and that appropriate records are retained.
To participate in the development of professional and technical standards.
To plan and implement projects for the development of the services.
To attend meetings as and when required.
To participate in committees as and when required.
Further instruction by the Top Management of RSH or KPJ as a whole.
Ensure to actively participate in all quality initiatives and activities by the Company.
Other Responsibilities
Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
Participate in 5S activities and comply with the specified requirements.
Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP).
Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.
Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).
Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.
To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:
- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;
- To co-operate with your employer or any other persons in the discharge of any duty;
- To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer;
- To comply with any instruction or measure on Occupational Safety and Health.
Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) are adhered to and responsible for integrity principles, practices, and activities at hospitals & companies if and when these programs are implemented.
3) JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor in Speech Pathology OR Master of Science in Speech and Language Therapy.
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience or fresh graduate.
Preferably with relevant experience in Hospital/healthcare business or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hospital, the brand and the Company.
Ability to identify market segments, niches and potential markets.
Willingness to do work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required.
Microsoft office literacy.
Able to work well on multiple projects & meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibility and reliability to take charge of certain projects independently.
Willing to travel.
Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.
Prepared to work as a team member in the manner the best.
