Compensation: €100,000 – €110,000 base salary + attractive bonus & benefits
About the Role
In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for Private Equity (PE) and Real Estate (RE) investments—primarily through fund-of-funds structures, alongside select direct deals. Operating within an established alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) backed by a leading European multi-asset management group, you will benefit from short decision-making paths, high visibility, and direct strategic impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Execution: Manage the complete life cycle (sourcing, acquisition, holding, and exit) of PE and RE investments via fund-of-funds and select direct holdings.
- Due Diligence & Analysis: Evaluate and synthesize commercial, legal, and tax due-diligence findings to guide strategic decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Steer the end-to-end investment process, liaising effectively with internal decision-makers, fund managers, service providers, and business partners.
- Committee Presentations: Prepare, document, and present high-level investment memos and decisions to investment committees.
- Documentation & Negotiation: Review, draft, and align critical investment documentation, including Subscription Agreements, Side Letters, and Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs).
- Portfolio Monitoring & Operations: Track financial KPIs, perform ongoing reporting on existing holdings, and coordinate FX spot and forward transactions as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Education
- Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in alternative investments, asset management, or an AIFM with a strong focus on Private Equity and/or Real Estate.
- Education: Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration; alternatively, a banking apprenticeship backed by relevant advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, CIIA, Fachwirt).
Technical & Professional Skills
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of fund structures, due diligence frameworks, and investment documentation across alternative asset classes.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to structure, model, and execute investment transactions with precision.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Languages: Business fluency in German (C1) and English (C1) is required. French language skills are a plus.
Personal Attributes
- Highly self-driven, structured, and responsible.
- Strong negotiator with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
What We Offer
- Compensation & Security: Competitive base salary of €100,000–€110,000, attractive performance bonus, and company-funded pension scheme.
- Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours, at least 3 remote workdays per week, 30 days of paid vacation, and zero travel requirements.
- Work Environment: Modern, ergonomic setup in a supportive, empathetic culture with close-knit team dynamics.
- Growth: Targeted internal training, external professional development opportunities, and sponsorship for relevant industry certifications.
