Summary:
The Asset Performance Analyst supports the Client’s Asset Management Office by transforming operational and asset data into actionable insights that improve asset availability, utilization, allocation, and overall returns. This role enables leadership to make data-driven decisions by delivering clear analysis, structured reporting, and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, operational curiosity, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business outcomes.

 

Job Duties:

 

Asset Performance Analysis

• Build and maintain asset master data and configuration standards
• Analyze asset availability, utilization, allocation, assignments, and returns across the organization.
• Forecast capacity and asset requirements (growth + replace)
• Evaluate performance trends to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop lifecycle plans (replenish / overhaul / retire) and business case
• Optimize total lifecycle cost and asset portfolio decisions

 

Reporting & Insights

• Develop and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to monitor asset performance.
• Convert raw operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and value-creation opportunities.
• Prepare concise summaries, business cases, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations, maintenance, controls, and reliability teams to understand data context and operational drivers.
• Support asset assignment strategies and scenario-based decision making for both commercial and operational outcomes.

 

Data Quality & Process Improvement

• Identify gaps in data quality, consistency, and availability.
• Collaborate with controls, data, and operational teams to improve data capture, management, and reporting processes.
• Help define and establish core performance metrics, baselines, and reporting standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 5–8 years of experience in data analytics, asset performance, operations analytics, business analytics, or similar disciplines.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience in industrial, energy, midstream, LNG, gas processing, utilities, or other asset-intensive industries preferred.
• Working knowledge of asset operations, maintenance practices, and performance drivers is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and modern analytics and visualization tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated curiosity, sound judgment, and a proactive, value-driven mindset.
