Description
Position Specific Accountabilities
Serves as the Engineer in Charge (EIC) for live sporting and special events for the LMU Athletics, which may include facility or equipment rental coordination.
Oversees, assists, and produces live video broadcasting and streaming on multiple platforms, including the WCC Network, ESPN+, Sidearm, etc., as well as post-production content for the athletics website and sport teams as appropriate, and other related content for various athletics initiatives as needed.
Schedules streaming, statistical, and sports information staff for all home games.
Coordinates with outside production and broadcast crews, as well as third party contractors as needed, in support of live and post-production events.
Manages access to and storage of digital assets related to the duties herein.
Maintains a detailed and comprehensive AV equipment inventory, including scoreboard and signage equipment in Hagan arena and other athletics venues.
Provides preventative maintenance services for equipment; executes a schedule of preventative maintenance so that all equipment receives a cyclical routine evaluation.
Develops and manages operating budget plans to support the equipment, maintenance, and other needs associated with the previously outlined technology services.
Assist in evaluating and creating graphics packages, ensuring alignment with the university’s comprehensive visual identity.
Works with the LMU ITS infrastructure team on solving technology issues related to network connectivity issues.
Works closely with ITS and MarComm on capital projects for planning and execution.
Ensures that all deliverables and outcomes are produced in alignment with the university’s quality standards, aligned with the university’s brand messaging and visual guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

NCAA, Conference, and University Rules Compliance
Conduct all aspects of duties and responsibilities in accordance with the rules and policies established by the university, MarComm, Athletics, all sports conference affiliations, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Complete all rules compliance information as required.
Participate in an annual evaluation of adherence to rules compliance.
Conduct evaluation of adherence to rules compliance with all assigned personnel on an annual basis.
Requisite Qualifications
Typically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in managing AV services, including live and streaming production systems. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills and abilities needed to stay abreast of best practices and industry trends.
Minimum 3 years’ experience operating video production switchers, game replay systems, audio consoles, and house sound systems. Experience operating TriCasters and working with Daktronics equipment and software. Experience in an athletics environment preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a video camera and production equipment.
Knowledge of basic on set production setups such as three point lighting, microphone placement and video capture.
Knowledge of system set up and troubleshooting analog and digital Audio Visual production systems.
Track record of excellent interpersonal and communication skills and providing exceptional service to internal and external constituents.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and be a creative self-starter.
Ability to adapt, prioritize tasks, and be decisive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and under pressure.
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with diverse constituents.
Must possess strong skills in planning, organizing and logistics.
Adherence to NCAA and member conference rules and regulations
May be required to obtain First Aid, CPR, motor vehicle safety certification, and other job-related certifications.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends to support programming, events, and major project deadlines.
Salary Range
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Must be able to work in various environmental conditions and climb/descend stairs and ladders while carrying 50 lbs. of A/V equipment. You must be able to stand, lift and climb ladders to work with equipment mounted on walls and ceilings. Must be available and willing to work long days, evenings and weekends depending on event schedule.

Staff RegularSalary range
