Support Technician - Therapy Services

Weekend Requirements: One | Work Hours: 8am - 4:30 pm | Status: Per Diem/PRN - 0.0 FTE (less than 40 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: Therapy Services

Job Summary:

Performs designated duties to assist the department staff in the areas of patient care and departmental and equipment orderliness and cleanliness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists clinicians with the care of patients as directed.

• Assists clinicians with positioning patients as directed.

• Transports patients and materials as directed.

• Utilizes safe lifting techniques and appropriate assistive devices.

• Cleans and maintains patient care areas.

• Maintains equipment and medical supplies as directed by clinicians.

Skills and Attributes:

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

• Works under minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Learning and applies knowledge at a basic level relying heavily on senior staff for troubleshooting.
