Job Summary

Job Title: Shipping Specialist

Department: Distribution

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the receipt, shipment, and management of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods. This position also requires transactions to be promptly entered into our ERP and Rate Shopping Application in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures. Follows through on all material movements to guarantee they are handled in accordance with cGMP procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring the distribution center has proper workflow to meet the demand. Must be able to work occasional weekends on a rotating basis when required.

Responsibilities:

Process, package, and ship orders accurately.

Coordinate corrections of shipment errors through Customer Service.

Pull and pack materials as volume dictates.

Ensure order accuracy against documentation

Prepare shipping documents if necessary.

Perform general duties including outbound processing, housekeeping, stocking, safety and maintenance.

Will participate in cycle counts when required.

Performs other duties as required.



Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience in Distribution, Receiving, or Manufacturing Support environment a plus.

Prior experience with shipping application and ERP in a regulated industry a plus.

Proficient in business environment software applications - MS Office.

Must be extremely service, internal customer, and detail oriented. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Stand up forklift operation experience is a plus.

Must be able to follow ergonomic lifting techniques.

Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

Must be proficient in English language to read and follow documentation, training materials and communicate (verbal and written) with stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs.

Stand for extended periods.

Perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to successfully operate a pallet jack

Ability to operate forklift a plus.

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $18.86 - $28.29 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
