Description
The Market Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, profitability, and strategic direction of the lawn care and chemical services across multiple branches.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, horticulture, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., in business management or industry-related areas) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the lawn care, landscaping, or chemical services industry, with at least 5 years in management.
- Proven experience in managing large teams, driving revenue growth, and overseeing complex operations across multiple locations in a geographical area (preferred).
- Experience with P&L management, budgeting, and strategic business planning.
- Obtaining and maintaining applicator license(s) by applicable state(s) is required.

General Responsibilities:
- Supervise the management of daily field operations, ensuring all services are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of branch/operational managers to ensure they meet performance and quality goals.
- Oversee the management of scheduling, ensuring optimal route planning and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
- Responsible for management of branch inventory (chemicals, tools, and equipment).
- Monitor service delivery to ensure that customer expectations are met, resolve service issues promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Report performance results to senior management and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and manage multiple branch budgets, focusing on cost control and maximizing profitability across a market.
- Ensure that the company adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide use, chemical application, and worker safety. Manage audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
