What You Will Do:

  • Create and maintain key relationships with Partners, PW Engineering, Procurement, Global Supply Chain and other internal / external organizations to resolve production challenges in a high paced environment.
  • Support and manage supplier quality issues through monitoring / escalation processes, escape management, processing of supplier submission of non-conforming material and supporting internal Product Recall processes.
  • Investigation management support in team meetings, gathering information / data, population bounding, root cause and corrective actions, including active engagement and ownership in RCCA/8D follow up.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for Partnership produced products & processes.
  • Develop and identify proactive and/or preventive actions for systemic processes and supplier product design problems.
  • Verifying effectiveness and adherence to quality plans with various partners.
  • Utilize systems (i.e., QLIK/SAP-Fiori, NetInspect) to mine data (Quality Notifications (QNs), non-conformances, corrective actions, turnback’s, open tasking etc.).
  • Reviews process control documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
  • Support Partnership Quality Standard Work development.
  • Support Partners documenting and maintaining AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans, etc.).
  • Manages processes to ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate, Manufacturing Readiness Level Planning and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent experience and 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience working in manufacturing and quality environment.
  • Possess understanding of Quality systems and methodologies and their impact on both the internal and external business processes and environments.
  • Root Cause tool experience and working knowledge (8D, 5-Why, Fault Tree, Pareto, Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa), etc.).
  • Root cause analysis experience with ability to lead root cause determination teams.
  • Familiarity of aerospace standards (i.e., AS9100, AS9145, AS13100) standards.
  • Working knowledge in Quality tools and methodologies (i.e., CORE, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T and PPAP).
  • Blueprint Reading.
  • SAP-Fiori Familiarization


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Self-starter who takes initiative, support strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects/initiatives, contribute to results and be committed to meeting tight deadlines
  • Able to make quick and well-informed decisions, even under high-pressured situations.
  • Deals professionally, collaboratively and firmly with conflict resolution.
  • Possess ability to make critical decisions and reach important deadlines.
  • Product knowledge of major rotating, critical to quality aerospace hardware.
  • SAP-Fiori proficient / expertise.
  • Proficiency/expertise in Quality tools such as CORE, 8D, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T and PPAP.
  • PC Skills, including Microsoft Suite, spreadsheets and databases preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of P&W management, partners / supplier and external customers.
  • Escape Management Experience.
  • Lean and Six-Sigma skill-set a plus.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
