Interventional Technologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Interventional Technologist, you will prepare and assist physicians during complex interventional procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety.

 

Every day you will ready the procedure room, operate advanced imaging equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist with instruments while maintaining sterile fields.

 

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert knowledge of interventional principles, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative skills in a high-pressure environment, crucial for successful patient outcomes.

• Room & Equipment Readiness: Prepare and stock procedure rooms, inspect advanced imaging equipment for functionality, and maintain sterile environments according to safety protocols.
• Procedural Assistance: Provide expert clinical support to physicians during complex interventions, including the precise management of wires, catheters, and specialized devices.
• Patient Care & Safety: Deliver compassionate care, explain procedures, monitor vital signs in real-time, and serve as a liaison to ensure patient safety and radiation protection.
• Imaging & Technical Proficiency: Operate advanced imaging modalities, input clinical data, and perform necessary image post-processing to support accurate physician diagnosis.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous patient records, hemodynamic logs, and department logs in the EMR and RIS while adhering to state/federal regulatory standards.
• Operational Efficiency: Facilitate rapid room turnover, manage inventory levels, and perform general administrative support to ensure high-functioning, efficient lab operations.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures Technologist (or equivalent)., upon hire and
• Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and

Preferred

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
