Position Summary

The Senior BSA CYEX EDD Specialist position is responsible for performing an enhanced due diligence (EDD) review of high-risk currency exchange (CYEX) commercial customers providing necessary oversight of the customer’s BSA program.  This will include pre-onboarding analysis, risk assessment completion and reporting, ongoing monitoring including site visits. The position supports the overall BSA compliance efforts as required under the Bank Secrecy Act and the Bank’s BSA/AML/USA Patriot Act and OFAC Compliance Program and Procedures. The Senior BSA EDD Specialist has additional skills and/or subject matter expertise, enabling them to be highly proficient in undertaking complex tasks and in supporting the BSA CYEX Manager with day-to-day operation of the BSA CYEX Team. 

What You'll Do

  • Complete enhanced due diligence for currency exchange commercial customers, assessing the overall risk and complete necessary documentation of findings. 

  • Analyze high-risk customers and other identified accounts for unusual and suspicious activity. 

  • Work collaboratively with Commercial and Treasury Management to understand CYEX customers.  Communicates both internally and externally at all levels as part of the EDD process. 

  • Assist the BSA CYEX Manager in the daily responsibilities of managing the BSA CYEX Team: Participate on projects, audits, exams, etc.; develop targeted reviews; provide guidance and support to business lines, corporate units, and compliance officers.

  • Complete annual EDD reviews and site visits. 

  • Conducts and coordinates quality control functions for all aspects of the BSA CYEX Unit.

  • Responsible for coaching and guidance of EDD Specialists; manage and coordinate training for new hires, as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years banking experience and 3-5 years BSA experience.

  • Working knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC laws, regulations and guidance.

  • Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.

  • CAMS certified or in the process of obtaining CAMS certification or other BSA/Fraud related certification preferred, but not required.

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000-$92,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
