Class 47SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing technical support across all phases of the operation. As a technical career role within Tyson Foods, Inc., it requires proficiency in multiple skill areas, including electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The role also requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate productively with all levels of management and operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience: An associate degree in Electronic Technology or a related technical field is preferred. However, equivalent experience and training will be considered, including skilled trade apprenticeships, military technical training, vocational education, or other relevant technical experience. Must be on Tyson Maintenance Level 8
Computer Skills: Must be competent in Windows-based programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, with the ability to organize documents, use templates, and create simple queries. Must be proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance or able to become proficient.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Certifications: Technical certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills: Experience with basic microcomputer operations, microprocessor interfacing, PLC system configuration and hardware, relay-equivalent instructions, timers/counters, data manipulation, data communications, advanced programming commands, troubleshooting, application support, and program development is preferred. Skills or training in electronic motor drive technologies, including servo motors, encoders, tachometers, electronic and mechanical brakes and clutches, closed-loop systems, DC servo, AC variable frequency, AC servo, and stepper systems, are also preferred.
Travel: Minimum of 1-5 trips per year outside the assigned location.
