Job Description & Summary

PwC Luxembourg is hiring a Valuation & Modelling (Senior) Manager - Infrastructure & Private Markets. What if it was you?

Who we are: We are the largest professional services firm in Luxembourg, providing audit, tax and advisory services including management consulting, transaction, financing and regulatory advice to a wide variety of clients. To make it happen, we count on the expertise of over 3,700 people from more than 94 different countries, who strive every day to reach excellence and team up to solve important problems through innovative solutions. We value diverse and singular career paths, embrace everyone's unique self and encourage our People to fuel their potential in a work environment that is inclusive, stimulating, and motivating.

Your mission

A career in our Valuation & Modelling Services practice will provide you with the opportunity to work at the forefront of valuation, financial modelling, and investment analysis across private markets.

As part of the largest and most qualified dedicated valuation and modelling team in Luxembourg, you will advise leading alternative investment managers, institutional investors, infrastructure funds, private equity sponsors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and multinational corporations on complex valuation and modelling matters throughout the investment lifecycle.

Recognised as a centre of excellence for portfolio valuation, our team delivers independent valuations and reviews of investment portfolios, businesses, complex securities, financial instruments, and intangible assets to support financial and investor reporting, regulatory compliance, governance, and strategic decision-making.

Our team also works closely with PwC Luxembourg's market-leading Assurance practice, supporting a broad range of valuation matters across audit engagements. This provides our professionals with unique exposure to valuation challenges across multiple asset classes, investment structures, and industries, while helping maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and professional rigour.

Our professionals come from diverse backgrounds, including leading asset managers, infrastructure investors, private equity firms, valuation boutiques, advisory practices, and audit firms. Together, we combine deep technical expertise with practical investment experience to help clients navigate increasingly sophisticated valuation challenges across infrastructure, private equity, venture capital, private debt, real estate, and other alternative asset classes.

Our multidisciplinary experience allows us to engage confidently with investment professionals, valuation committees, risk teams, boards of directors, external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to deliver robust, independent, and insightful analyses that support informed decision-making.

Be a part of our team where you will:

  • Lead and oversee complex valuation and modelling engagements across private equity, infrastructure, venture capital, private debt, real estate, and other private market asset classes;
  • Manage project teams and client relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery and exceptional client service throughout the engagement lifecycle;
  • Review and challenge valuation analyses, financial models, methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions prepared by team members;
  • Advise clients on complex valuation matters related to financial reporting, investor reporting, regulatory compliance, transactions, governance, and strategic decision-making;
  • Lead discussions with investment professionals, boards, valuation committees, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders;
  • Apply and interpret valuation requirements under IPEV, IFRS, US GAAP, and Lux GAAP frameworks;
  • Support audit engagements through the provision of valuation expertise and technical reviews;
  • Develop thought leadership on emerging valuation practices, market developments, and industry trends;
  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior professionals, helping them build strong technical and professional capabilities;
  • Contribute to recruitment, performance management, and the continued growth of the team;
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities;
  • Support the preparation of proposals, pitches, thought leadership, and other business development initiatives;
  • Collaborate across PwC service lines to deliver multidisciplinary solutions to clients;
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in valuation methodologies, modelling approaches, and delivery processes;
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and market positioning of PwC Luxembourg's Infrastructure & Private Markets Valuation & Modelling practice.

Let's talk about you. If you...

  • Hold a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field;
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with excellent command of English — German and French are strong assets, and any other European language is considered valuable;
  • Have 6–11 years of professional experience in Valuation & Modelling, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Advisory, Portfolio Valuation, Audit, or a related field;
  • Have relevant experience gained within a Big Four firm, professional services firm, specialist valuation boutique, asset manager, institutional investor, infrastructure fund, AIFM, pension fund, sovereign wealth fund, or investment firm;
  • Have significant exposure to private capital investments, including private equity, infrastructure, venture capital, private debt, real estate, or energy transition assets;
  • Experience in infrastructure valuation, project finance modelling, investment appraisal, transaction analysis, or asset-level financial modelling would be highly valued;
  • Demonstrate advanced valuation and financial modelling capabilities, including complex capital structures and illiquid investments;
  • Possess strong knowledge of IPEV Guidelines, IFRS, US GAAP, and/or Lux GAAP valuation requirements;
  • Have experience leading engagements from proposal stage through execution and final delivery;
  • Have successfully managed teams and coached junior professionals in a professional services or investment environment;
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives;
  • Have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards;
  • Can communicate complex technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Are pursuing or have completed a professional qualification such as CFA, CAIA, CPV, CVA, ASA, CBV, ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, FRM, CQF, or equivalent;
  • Demonstrate a strong team attitude, a willingness to support and develop others, share expertise freely, and contribute positively to a collaborative, high-performing culture where collective success matters as much as individual achievement;
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound professional judgement, and a healthy level of professional scepticism;
  • Are proactive, intellectually curious, and committed to continuous learning;
  • Bring positive energy, humility, and a good sense of humour to the team.
