Schedule: 7p-7a Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Responsibilities

This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate communication of imaging results, coordinating patient care, and facilitating smooth operations between radiologists, providers, and patients.

 

What you will do

  • Answer, locates, direct calls to ordering providers when there is an imaging study with a critical result.
  • Serve as the first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent imaging findings.
  • Reviews reports and sends proper notification to patients and referring physicians as needed by using Epic secure chat, e-fax and in-basket messaging.
  • Maintain and manage the critical results tracker to ensure timely communication within required timeframes.
  • Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices (e.g., pacemakers, IUDs, neuro-stimulators) through proper interrogation protocols.
  • Notify ordering providers when devices fail interrogation to facilitate alternative care planning.
  • Work closely with the Patient Connection Center to ensure timely scheduling of patients’ post-device interrogation.
  • Request and manage outside imaging for exam correlation using Powershare.
  • Perform basic office procedures to support the Imaging Call Center’s daily operations.

 

Qualifications

Education
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience
  • 1 year of previous call center, operator, dispatching, or related office experience Required
