CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking two Junior Inspectors to join our Construction Inspection Team in Ridgeland, SC, where you will support transportation improvement projects through field observation, documentation, and construction oversight activities.

What You'll Do:

• Observe and monitor the construction activities on highways, streets, roadways, and other transportation structures, for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Record field observations, measurements, and computations to verify work performed
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate project records
• Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• No prior experience required; prior construction or construction observation experience a plus
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications; knowledge of construction techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required; extensive travel may be required

Salary Range:

$24.00 - $25.00

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
