In this role, you will get the opportunity to manage the end-to-end commercial and financial management of 2-4 of VGE’s largest strategic accounts after contract signature, with combined revenue up to €30M pa. Accountable for ensuring revenue is billed and collected, costs are controlled, and the account delivers the expected margin throughout its lifecycle.

## What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Manage the account P&L and ensure the deal performs in line with the approved business case and financial targets
  • Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) with suppliers, including validating costs, tracking supplier commitments and ensuring proper cost allocation
  • Manage the invoicing process, including invoice preparation, billing accuracy, invoice submission, dispute resolution and payment tracking
  • Monitor revenue recognition, cost recovery, cash flow and margin performance throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Work closely with Finance, Delivery, Service Management and suppliers to ensure all charges are billed correctly and on time
  • Manage change requests, contract amendments and the commercial impacts arising from in-life service changes
  • Track customer billing and payment issues, resolve invoice disputes and support collections where required
  • Provide regular financial reporting and account performance updates, including revenue, cost, margin and outstanding receivables
  • Ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms, internal governance requirements and contractual obligations

Key performance indicators:

  • Management of in-life contract with value up to €10M. Delivery of all commercial obligations under each contract
  • Account margin and financial performance delivered in line with the approved business case
  • Billing accuracy and on-time invoicing, with invoice disputes resolved within agreed timeframes
  • Deliver revenue growth that out-performs the under-lying VGE base
  • Achieve Customer NPS of 15%

## Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience of managing an account P&L or equivalent financial accountability
  • Practical experience of billing and invoicing processes, including billing accuracy, invoice disputes and supporting collections
  • Working knowledge of purchase order and supplier cost management, including cost validation and cost allocation
  • Understanding of revenue recognition, cost recovery, cash flow and margin management across the contract lifecycle
  • Experience of managing change requests and contract amendments, and assessing their commercial impact
  • Demonstrable understanding of commercial contractual terms and their financial impact on VGE
  • Able to work effectively across Finance, Delivery, Service Management and supplier organisations, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at a senior level with customers and internally
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and can demonstrate an ability to deliver though others
