As part of Marmon Rail, a Berkshire Hathaway company, we operate a growing network of railcar repair facilities and field service operations across North America. Our teams support customers in transportation, energy, agriculture, and manufacturing through safe, compliant, and high-quality railcar repair services.
As we continue expanding, we're launching a new Field Services operation in New Orleans, Louisiana, and we're looking for experienced railcar repair professionals and skilled tradespeople who want to be part of this growth opportunity.

What You'll Do
This role performs all aspects of inspection, repair, and maintenance on tank cars while supporting a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
On any given day, you will:
- Conduct railcar inspections and repairs using approved repair procedures
- Perform mechanical, structural, valve, and component repairs on tank cars
- Complete inspection reports, work orders, and repair documentation
- Maintain required certifications and qualifications
- Ensure compliance with AAR rules, regulations, and company standards
- Support customer requirements through quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Work safely while contributing to production and operational goals
- Collaborate with experienced technicians and leaders in a team-oriented environment

- Valid Driver's License
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Site Specific Details
- Location: New Orleans, LA
- Shift: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Compensation: Competitive hourly pay plus potential Experience Recognition Bonus
